Orange Express Carwash- A modern automated express car wash building showing an overt fascination with mechanical expression- not unlike an automobile. The building is designed with metal panes, steel canopies, dynamic forms- all nods to the automobile. The site is filled with planting to soften the experience for the journey from beginning to end. This 7,000 Square foot building sits on a 1.09 acre lot which allows for a 18 car que. The express tunnel is an astonishing 200 ft with economic power and processing. Within that tunnel lies a 140’ food skylight which helps eliminate the use of interior light during the daylight. The wash is capped then off with the use of one of the 30 vacuum stalls under the solar powered canopies.
