SynArc Studio is a diverse Architectural and Design firm with a broad portfolio of experiences ranging from corporate to industrial; to retail to entertainment for industry leading companies to boutique family business. Founder and principal Jefferson Choi with 21 years of architectural experience, has developed SynArc Studio to be the respected and growing firm it is today from humble beginning that started 8 years ago.

SynArc Studio offers a broad range of services including Planning, Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Design. Through the various disciplines SynArc Studio provides innovative solutions to the needs and desires of the client’s’ goal not just by improving the human experience through built design, but also being deliberately conscientious of the clients schedule and budget.

Located in Irvine, CA SynArc Studio has not only established relations with clients in California and Nevada but also has worked with great clients from Europe and Asia collaborating with internationally esteemed Architects and Designers.

Our goal is to earn the trust of our valued clients and always perform to their best interest while delivering efficient, cost effective and healthier buildings. We do so by exercising responsible and sustainable design, doing what is right not only for the business but the environment and our planet.

Jefferson Choi

AIA l Principal

Jefferson has over 21 years of a broad architectural experience ranging from full facility high-rise buildings to single family residential. He received his Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of Southern California and studied abroad in Italy, while there he developed a commitment to his quality and craft. His experience includes programming, planning and design as well as coordinating all communication between the architectural team and the consultants for both core and shell projects as well as interior design projects. He possesses a particular interest in the complexities of ushering a design from conception to realization while maintaining an appropriate balance between design and constructability.

Prior to starting his own company JJC Design, Jefferson worked with DMJM in Los Angeles, LPA in Irvine and Danielian Associates also in Irvine.

Jacob Lesic

Managing Principal

Jacob is an accomplished architect with a vast portfolio consisting of a variety of projects, ranging from Residential to Large Communities, Commercial, Retail and Hospitality projects including planning design, feasibility studies, and construction management. With over 30 years of experience, Jacob received his Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism as well as his master’s at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. Jacob is an award-winning Architect, working on domestic and international projects in Croatia, Sweden and Italy. He is a member of UHA, Chamber of registered Architects and Engineers, Croatia and AIA, American Institute of Architects, Associate Architect (as International Licensed). From the business and administrative standpoint, his experiences and exposures include such demanding positions as being a Designer, Project Architect, Sr. Project Manager and Principal for multiple big corporate projects. Specifically, he has experience directly handling matters such as business development, design, cost-effectiveness, financial and budget issues, construction and meeting various state and federal code requirements within given timelines. For each project he managed all involved professionals and staff in and out of house, and client relationships. Jacob is a professional, goal-driven, team player. A friendly, and out-going leader at SynArc. In his spare time, he loves to travel and explore all the world has to offer.

Jason Bell

Director

Jasob Bell has a unique blend of design and production talent. At SynArc Studio he guides designs and manages both large and small projects with both sensitivity towards the needs of stakeholders and site. Jason has a breadth of experience from award-winning firms. He draws upon knowledge gained from offices based in Northern and Southern California. As a native of North Carolina, Jason Came to California to earn a masters degree in Architecture from UCLA in 1994 after receiving his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State in the same field. SynArc is strengthened by Jason’s passion for elevating the potential of each project. On the weekends Jason is very involved in local charities, doing various events – His favorite consists of a 100 mile bike ride in support of Multiple Sclerosis.

Jennifer Coleman

Human Resource Director

A Los Angeles native, Jennifer is an HR professional with over 7 years of experience mostly working for design and marketing firms. She received her HRM certification from Cornell University and has a background in Communications. She is responsible for creating innovative ways to engage all employees and establishing the culture, systems and training that will develop leaders and empower employees to solve problems. Jennifer provides employees with both short and long-term human resources consulting support, including managing the complete employee life-cycle and administering benefit programs and payroll. In her free time, Jennifer loves to travel, cook and throw parties – especially for the Studio.

Thinh Nguyen

Senior Designer

Thinh was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam. He graduated Van Lang University and received a Bachelor of Architecture in 2010 and has been working in medium and large sized architecture firms in Vietnam and The US since then. He is experienced in residential and commercial projects from affordable to high-end, and is an expert in realistic 3D renderings, conceptual design and construction documentation. His biggest interest at work is fluency of communication since architecture is a collaboration of ideas, culture, professionals and infinity. In terms of architectural design, Thinh is intrigued by a reversal or unexpected moment of experience through space, and he believes a series of moments can evolve into a great story, and architecture.

Eric Liwski

Job Captain

Eric is a highly driven designer with a variety of background experiences in interior design, furniture design, retail display and more. Eric graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Design from California State University Long Beach (2014) and an Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting from Saddleback College (2009). Throughout his working life he has found success in possessing a strong sense of order while constantly advancing each project at every stage. Eric’s technical skills lie in Drafting, Sketching, 3D modeling and photo-realistic renderings. The tools of choice for these tasks are usually AutoCAD and SketchUp but he’s not afraid to put pen to paper and sketch or try new programs if the job calls for it. Outside of work, Eric can be found outside in the sun, on a worldly excursion with his wife, or kicking back watching sports and movies at home.

Myla Macabale

Job Captain

Myla was born and raised in the Philippines and has had a love for architecture as long as she could remember. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Architecture in Manila, Myla moved to the US in 1995 to pursue her career in architecture. She furthered her studies in the states at ITT for Applied Science in Computer Aided Drafting. With over 24 years in the industry, Myla’s skill set and keen attention to detail has been utilized over various projects ranging from commercial, residential and mix-use. Her specialty and strengths are in parking design and development. Before joining the SynArc team Myla spent 7 years with Parkitects in Irvine, CA as a Senior Designer working on many large such as USC Parking structures and The Grove in Los Angeles, CA. When not in the office, Myla tends to her four children and is heavily involved with their dance and musical theatre.
