SynArc Studio is a diverse Architectural and Design firm with a broad portfolio of experiences ranging from corporate to industrial; to retail to entertainment for industry leading companies to boutique family business. Founder and principal Jefferson Choi with 21 years of architectural experience, has developed SynArc Studio to be the respected and growing firm it is today from humble beginning that started 8 years ago.

SynArc Studio offers a broad range of services including Planning, Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Design. Through the various disciplines SynArc Studio provides innovative solutions to the needs and desires of the client’s’ goal not just by improving the human experience through built design, but also being deliberately conscientious of the clients schedule and budget.

Located in Irvine, CA SynArc Studio has not only established relations with clients in California and Nevada but also has worked with great clients from Europe and Asia collaborating with internationally esteemed Architects and Designers.

Our goal is to earn the trust of our valued clients and always perform to their best interest while delivering efficient, cost effective and healthier buildings. We do so by exercising responsible and sustainable design, doing what is right not only for the business but the environment and our planet.

Jefferson Choi

AIA l Principal

Jefferson has over 21 years of a broad architectural experience ranging from full facility high-rise buildings to single family residential. He received his Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of Southern California and studied abroad in Italy, while there he developed a commitment to his quality and craft. His experience includes programming, planning and design as well as coordinating all communication between the architectural team and the consultants for both core and shell projects as well as interior design projects. He possesses a particular interest in the complexities of ushering a design from conception to realization while maintaining an appropriate balance between design and constructability.

Prior to starting his own company JJC Design, Jefferson worked with DMJM in Los Angeles, LPA in Irvine and Danielian Associates also in Irvine.

Jason Bell

Director

Jason Bell has a unique blend of design and production talent. At SynArc Studio he guides designs and manages both large and small projects with both sensitivity towards the needs of stakeholders and site. Jason has a breadth of experience from award-winning firms. He draws upon knowledge gained from offices based in Northern and Southern California. As a native of North Carolina, Jason came to California to earn a Masters Degree in Architecture from UCLA in 1994 after receiving his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State in the same field. SynArc is strengthened by Jason’s passion for elevating the potential of each project. On the weekends Jason is very involved in local charities, doing various events – his favorite consists of a 100 mile bike ride in support of Multiple Sclerosis.

Thinh Nguyen

Senior Designer

Thinh was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam. He graduated Van Lang University and received a Bachelor of Architecture in 2010 and has been working in medium and large sized architecture firms in Vietnam and The US since then. He is experienced in residential and commercial projects from affordable to high-end, and is an expert in realistic 3D renderings, conceptual design and construction documentation. His biggest interest at work is fluency of communication since architecture is a collaboration of ideas, culture, professionals and infinity. In terms of architectural design, Thinh is intrigued by a reversal or unexpected moment of experience through space, and he believes a series of moments can evolve into a great story, and architecture.

Jennifer Coleman

Human Resource Director

A Los Angeles native, Jennifer is an HR professional with over 7 years of experience mostly working for design and marketing firms. She received her HRM certification from Cornell University and has a background in Communications. She is responsible for creating innovative ways to engage all employees and establishing the culture, systems and training that will develop leaders and empower employees to solve problems. Jennifer provides employees with both short and long-term human resources consulting support, including managing the complete employee life-cycle and administering benefit programs and payroll. In her free time, Jennifer loves to travel, cook and throw parties – especially for the Studio.

Justin Barth

Senior Project Director

Justin began drafting in a design firm while still in high school before majoring in Architecture at the college of Environmental Design at U.C. Berkeley in 1987. He is a registered architect with over 30 years of experience in commercial, mixed-use residential, and health care design. He uses the principles of Integral Architecture and the LEAN process to promote ethical, beautiful, and elegant solutions to design problems which lead to innovative buildings that add value for the Client by decreasing design, building and life cycle costs while remaining environmentally responsible and culturally dynamic. His practice in and familiarity with the industry has brough him an in- depth knowledge of all code and regulatory agency requirements and helped him produce such landmark projects as the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Mississippi, the Sutter Home Winery facility in Lodi, California and the Freedom Village ContinuingCare Community in Lake Forest, California, which received a 5-star rating and wasvoted the Best Retirement Community on the West Coast by Independent Wellness.
